What methods of whitening are used at Taylor Street Dental?

Our dentists are pleased to provide two methods of whitening the smile, including our in-office power bleaching and the more economical solution of take-home whitening kits.

• In-office power bleaching – using Zoom! whitening solution, our team can provide same day brightening with our in-office procedure. Patients will take it easy in the dental chair as the teeth are cleaned. A protective gel is applied to the gum tissue before the whitening gel is administered onto the surfaces of the teeth. This gel is activated with a special light used by the dental hygienist. Once complete, our professionals clean the smile again to remove the gels and finish the process.
• Take-home whitening kits – an alternative to the in-office power bleaching is that of the take-home whitening kits. These kits have professional-grade bleaching gels that are used in custom-made trays. The trays are fabricated from impressions of the patient’s smile to ensure proper fit and function. The take-home kits are given to patients at the practice, along with specific instructions for their use. Patients can brighten their smile gradually in the comfort of their own home, and may save some money when compared to the same-day results achieved using the in-office methods.
