This is why it is so important for patients to maintain their dental visits and obtain treatments for conditions as they are diagnosed. Drs. David Peck, Zachary Grillo, Stefan Filip, and Pablo Valestegui of Taylor Street Dental will be able to provide treatment based on the stage the condition has reached.<\/p>\n<p>One treatment offered to patients who have later stages of periodontal disease, called periodontitis, is that of scaling and root planing. This procedure is a deep cleaning that addresses the crowns and the roots of the teeth. It can be rather invasive but is necessary to treat the infection. In addition, this treatment is often coupled with antibiotics which can kill the bacteria and help bring the infection down to a reasonable level for easy care and maintenance.
