Rebuilding Your Bite

Using advanced technology, we can treat pain caused by misaligned muscles in the jaw. Thanks to neuromuscular dentistry at his Springfield, Massachusetts practice, Dr. David Peck is able to treat the conditions associated with a misaligned jaw.

The technological side of neuromuscular dentistry is that we take the guess work out of knowing where to put your teeth and how to rebuild your bite. We used computerized software. We use a TENS machine to relax your muscles so that we know exactly where to rebuild your bite. Once your muscles are relaxed after using the TENS machine, we mount the models of your upper and lower teeth on what we call an AccuLiner and it mimics how your teeth come together. From that, we can now see how do we rebuild your bite, how do we make crowns in your mouth because we do not want to disrupt the muscles of your jaw; we want to keep them happy.
